Review: repro 1st type Griswold bag from SOF

Just got this Griswold jump bag from SOF Military. They have been announcing it since their no.? re-enactor catalog, along with some other new paratrooper items, but the release date was pushed back several times. Given that an original first type Griswold can set you back 3000 euros, I wonder why it took so long for anyone to reproduce them in quantity. Really, what hasn't been reproduced? So I was a happy camper when they were first announced, and even more when I saw the price, only 40 GBP, or about 50 euros. That's until I received it...

Review: repro T5 parachute from jump-master44

After drooling on it for months, I decided to finally buy this reproduction T5 parachute. Jump-master44, an eBay seller in France sells them exclusively and you can choose between a harness in white or OD green webbing. I got the green one pictured here. Mainly because most repros have white webbing, and their new whiter than white webbing stands out like a sore thumb. The reserve pack is converted to a T5 from an original A-4.
I would rate this reproduction 8/10. Its not perfect, but its main faults are invisible on a mannequin display, especially with some personal modifications.
